Crewless Marine is a developer of advanced underwater acoustic sensors, signal processing, and autonomy solutions for uncrewed maritime vehicles. With a strong connection to the local blue economy ecosystem, our team brings over 40 years of expertise in sensor design, signal processing, data fusion, sonar hardware, and mechatronics.

Our goal is to provide complete, scalable acoustic solutions for autonomous maritime systems across industries such as aquaculture, safety and security, offshore wind, marine mammal monitoring, and ship noise pollution monitoring.

Research & Development

Crewless Marine specializes in designing and building experimental acoustic arrays tailored to specific data collection needs. Our capabilities include custom hydrophones, multi-channel data acquisition, and base-station analysis software, allowing for flexible configurations that meet unique project requirements.

Our experimental arrays have been deployed in Florida, Narragansett Bay, and Block Island Sound, demonstrating their effectiveness in real-world conditions.

Commercial Products

Crewless Marine will introduce its commercial product line in the spring of 2025. These products will include experimental arrays and small standalone sensors, large arrays with custom directional hydrophones integrated into platforms, and advanced design and analysis tools featuring digital twin technology.

Industry Collaboration & Customer Validation

Crewless Marine has successfully collaborated with uncrewed surface vehicle (USV) developers on cutting-edge acoustic applications.

We have supported the development of a vertical line array (VLA) for a USV platform, conducted in-water experiments using our experimental array, and are working with additional USV providers to demonstrate underwater barrier defense applications.
