Digital video recording systems for subsea inspection & survey

EdgeDVR is a hardware and software suite that has become a worldwide standard for divers and ROV operators working in offshore oil and gas, offshore renewables, subsea inspection, surveying and other offshore industries. Offering simultaneous recording of high-definition and standard-definition video, it provides a comprehensive and easy-to-use capability that fulfils all major requirements of inspection, repair and maintenance, whilst remaining accessible to users of all ability levels.

EdgeDVR allows you to record up to four video channels at a time and also enables recording and control of multibeam sonars. The system features built-in black box recording and video can also be streamed over the local area network.

Through a partnership with Harvest Technology, Digital Edge Subsea can also offer video streaming to the cloud over low bandwidth, allowing remote situational awareness of offshore operations from anywhere in the world.

The EdgeDVR software is available in three tiers, providing versatile options to suit the needs of a wide range of operations.

Versatile hardware options

EdgeDVR is provided as standard installed on our range of rack-mounted units with options for SD, HD or 4K capabilities. The system is based around the Windows 11 operating system, stored on dual-redundant solid state hard drives for maximum performance and reliability.

The units also include three removable hard drives of up to 10TB – two for storing inspection data, and one for SD/HD black box video.

In addition to this standard rackmount unit, EdgeDVR can also be supplied on a number of other hardware configurations, allowing you to prioritize performance or portability as you see fit. Options include:

• 4U rackmount unit – our standard and most popular form factor
• 3U rackmount unit – all the same features as the 4u but in a more compact form factor
• 2u rackmount unit – designed for IP camera systems
• Dell Precision 7750 laptop
• EdgeDVR Mobile Workstation with 3 built-in monitors and an option to extend to 6 monitors

ROVTools RTK-01 Toolkit

Modular toolkit for ROV operators

The full Rovtools Toolkit is available in 5 sub kits, as well as the full pelicase version. This flexible and highly versatile kit provides ROV operators with a modular set of tools that allows them to perform common tasks with greater ease and efficiency whilst reducing operational time.

Compact, but big on performance, the RTK1 has the tools to take on a wide range of jobs including cutting ropes up to 25mm diameter), taking cathodic protection readings, measuring marine growth and cleaning offshore structures.

Combining 316 stainless steel and tough corrosion resistant materials with sound engineering principles, the RTK1 tools are prepared for tasks in the harshest conditions whilst ensuring a solid performance. With the included ROV mounted clamp and tool pole system, the modular tool heads can be changed and repositioned within a matter of minutes, requiring less downtime between different jobs.
