Compact and low-power multibeam echosounders

NORBIT iWBMSThe NORBIT WBMS series features our most compact and low-power multibeam sonar systems. Based on advanced curved array technology, they incorporate tightly-integrated GNSS-INS units for high-quality and high-accuracy survey results.

The easy-to-integrate sonar systems can be powered by batteries, making them highly suited for USV and UUV installations, and are ideal for a wide range of subsea and marine survey and imaging applications, including coastal and shallow-water bathymetry, pipeline surveys, and harbor and lake surveys.

The video below highlights how the NORBIT iWBMS was used to undertake a bridge survey in Budapest:

NORdredge dredge monitoring systemNORBIT NORdredge

Turnkey sonar solutions for dredging & construction

NORBIT iSTX360NORdredge is a specialized turnkey solution that utilizes a broadband multibeam sonar system and intuitive software to provide real-time information for dredging, underwater construction, and rock dumping operations. The vessel-mounted sonar can be rapidly mobilized even under demanding conditions, ensuring continuous monitoring of the water bottom and timely detection of any hazards or issues.

Hydrographers can plan the mission remotely via a web-based interface, and all relevant information is automatically passed to the local operator’s mobile device who can then execute the survey. The hydrographer can independently access the data, and any adjustments to the survey plan can be made easily.

NORdredge systems are ideal for installation on a wide range of USVs and vessels of opportunity. Find out more about NORDredge below:

NORBIT FLS forward looking sonarNORBIT FLS

Forward-looking sonars for surface & subsurface platforms

NORBIT FLS Wide forward looking sonarNORBIT FLS (forward-looking sonar) solutions offer high-performance and high-resolution acoustic imaging capabilities for a variety of mission-critical applications such as search and recovery, obstacle avoidance, and security.

The compact and low-power systems can be easily installed on a variety of crewed and uncrewed surface vessels as well as AUVs and ROVs.

NORBIT Subsea’s FLS and iWBMS STX sonar played a crucial role in the recovery of a lost WW2 fighter plane from a lake in Hungary. Watch the video below:
