The Apollo X Remote Head is an externally powered submersible beacon that provides two-way communications via Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD), as well as GPS and LED flasher capabilities. It enables tracking of high-value underwater assets such as AUVs, ROVs and sensor equipment from anywhere in the world, utilizing a solid-state conductivity sensor to detect when the beacon breaks the surface of the water.
This remote head version of the Apollo X platform offers versatile installation options, using a flexible cable to join the unit to an external power supply.
The beacon is compatible with Xeos Technologies' XeosOnline monitoring software, allowing users to receive incoming messages, send remote configuration commands, and track and monitor all assets from a single intuitive interface. Local setup can be easily performed via Bluetooth.
