Elwave is launching LabPULSE, its latest innovation designed for high-accuracy complex electrical impedance measurements, delivering cutting-edge capabilities for research and industry applications.
Powered by CEDAR (Controlled Electric Detection and Ranging) electromagnetic technology, LabPULSE supports up to 4 electrodes for active and passive dipoles. LabPULSE features configurable acquisition sequences from 100Hz to 25kHz, and delivers real-time data acquisition, display, replay, and analysis with ESENSE Manager software.

Elwave’s CEDAR generates a low-frequency AC electric field which is disrupted by objects in the near vicinity, causing changes in current intensity. These disturbances can be measured and used to characterize the underwater environment even in the murkiest of conditions.
The first LabPULSE unit was successfully delivered to IMT Atlantique, and is currently advancing academic research. Vincent Lebastard of IMT Atlantique commented, “LabPULSE provides unique capabilities to support our research on topics ranging from underwater robotics to sediment analysis and buried object detection via active electric sensing.”
