Aquaculture ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles)

Aquaculture ROVs play a crucial role in studying the behavior, health, and habitat preferences of cultured marine species. Equipped with imaging systems and sensors, Aquaculture ROVs allow researchers to assess water quality, monitor feeding habits, and investigate the impacts of environmental variables on aquaculture operations. Aquaculture ROVs also make it possible to inspect infrastructure and netting, and monitor stock levels.

Aquaculture ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) are underwater robots designed to support and enhance aquaculture operations. Aquaculture underwater drones play a key role in the sustainable management and monitoring of aquatic farms, providing valuable data and reducing the need for human divers.

The underwater vehicles reduce labor costs and minimize the risks associated with human diving by automating and improving the precision of routine tasks. The data collected by aquaculture ROVs contributes to a better understanding of marine ecosystems and aquaculture’s impact on them.

Aquaculture ROVs, whether its an aquaculture net inspection ROV, offshore aquaculture ROV, or an aquaculture stock monitoring ROV, not only enhance the efficiency and sustainability of aquaculture operations but also provide valuable data to the field of ocean science, to help get a deeper understanding of marine environments.

Types of Aquaculture ROVs

Aquaculture Underwater Drones

Aquaculture underwater drones are primarily used for general surveillance and maintenance tasks in aquaculture environments. These drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras, lighting systems, and various sensors to monitor fish health and inspect underwater structures.

Aquaculture Net Inspection ROV

Aquaculture net inspection ROVs are designed to examine the condition of nets in fish farms, Nets can be damaged by wear and tear, biofouling, or accidental impact. Net inspection ROVs can identify and assess these issues by maneuvering around the netting structure, using cameras and sensors to detect holes, weak spots, and areas requiring cleaning or repair.

Offshore Aquaculture ROV

Offshore aquaculture ROVs are built to withstand the demanding environments associated with offshore operations such as strong currents, deeper waters, and harsher conditions. For stability in turbulent waters, offshore aquaculture ROVs are typically more robust and have enhanced propulsion systems. These ROVs are utilized for a variety of tasks such as mooring inspections, structural assessments of submerged cages, and monitoring of environmental conditions.

Aquaculture Stock Monitoring ROV

Aquaculture stock monitoring ROVs, equipped with stereoscopic cameras and sonar systems, accurately estimate fish biomass and monitor behavior and health. These ROVs can collect data on fish size distribution, detect signs of disease or stress, and track individual fish movements.
